Kun Faya Kun Kind of Day
So I took a well deserved break today (I am not 100% sure if it was deserved or not, but well, I called it a break day) and all I did today in terms of studying was 30 mins of Anki. Originally, I was supposed to read some 10 pages of Laxmikant, then some 1.5k Anki cards, then forum pts1, but well, tomorrow ig.
Now, why this break?
I became a mama for the second time, alhamdulillah so there's been some excitement and a festive environment. The naming and akiqah is to be done tomorrow I guess tomorrow will also be a half day.
what did I do today?
1. Dropped my Jiju at the station (I love driving, and it was a fairly long 60 min ride to and fro)
2. Got myself a haircut (after 3 long months).
3. Went to the gym for 2 whole hours (been skipping the gym for the past few weeks sadly)
4. Helped Mom with some household chores (usually I always make excuses that I have to study) (but am I really that busy every day? I wonder now...).
5. Made myself a protein-rich dinner with carrot juice :) (also made it for tomorrow in advance)
Was it good? Yes. I really feel productive and stress-free.
Could it have been better? Yeah, I could've slept at around 10pm and also prayed all 5 salah of today, but sadly... (it's 1am rn)
whats next?
A small family function tomorrow + half day of study (I'll try to hit at least 6 hours of studies and then back to grind full time)
One thing I am taking with myself from here: I WILL NEVER EVER skip the gym and salah, and I will try my best to get closer to my family like today. (These three things I feel are the foundation of my existence, pretty well sorted. I just need to maintain these things well and give my full focus on my studies "THE ONE THING")
Inshallah, I will try my best.
I am sure I will come back to this blog in the future one day and will be hella proud of myself...
congrats mamaji!

DeleteDo you have any gym goals you are trying to achieve? My target is hitting 40kgs in benchpress, I am rn struggling with 30kgs
ReplyDeleteMy current aim is to decrease my fat% it's around 20% rn. The goal is to make it like 12-13%
DeleteSecond, 100kg bench press at least 1RM by the end of December this year (current PR is 80KG)
Third, if things work out and I manage to stay disciplined enough, I will run a marathon this December, hopefully a full marathon
- About benchpress- just give it some time especially if you are also preparing for UPSC, don't exert yourself fir padhai karne ke liye energy nahi bachegi, take it slow, the priority should be career.
The key is to prioritise and take it one day at a time.
you can do this:
keep doing 30kgs till you are able to do 3 sets of 10 reps. after that increase it to 35 then again keep doing it -start small- 3 sets of 3-4 reps then increase it gradually till you reach 35 kg 3 sets of 10 reps then increase the weight to 40 and so on... "hypertrophy"
